Visiting the colleagues in Moscow,18-24 November 2018


The representative of Aleksandras Stulginskis University prof. Juozas Padgurskas from Institute of Power and Transport Machinery Engineering visited the Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy (RSAU-MTAA) during the period of 18-24 November 2018.

Visit partner was Mrs. Anna Voronina, Deputy Head Department of International Programs RSAU-MTAA. During the meetings at the Department of International Programs with the head of the Department of International Programs prof. Elena Embaturova, deputy head of Department Mrs. Anna Voronina, head of the Institute of Engineering and Energy named after V.P.Goryachkin prof. Yurij Kataev it was discussed the cooperation between ASU and RSAU-MTAA and the possibility of its development. The signing of join Memorandum of Understanding and further cooperation in students and teachers exchange was agreed with the partners of RSAU-MTAA. After that Prof Juozas Padgurskas was visited by the Institute of Engineering and Energy named after V.P. Goryachkin and the departments of this institute: Department of Materials Science and Engineering Technology and the Department of Technical Service of Machinery and Equipment. Russian colleagues introduced their research and study facilities, laboratories at departments. Discussions about the study process with professors Baikalova, Kataev, Korneev and Gaidar took place. Prof. J.Padgurskas presented for the students of the institute study and research facilities of ASU, the research subject green tribology, its essence and the most important directions of development.

During a visit in Moscow prof. J.Padgurskas attended the XII International Scientific Conference Tribology For Mechanical Engineering and made an oral presentation “Investigation of friction interaction of friction pair of a piezoelectric actuators”. The conference was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Mechanical Engineering Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMASH RAN).
